Rooted in De Public Affairs Groep, the Academie draws on knowledge, experience and examples from the daily practice of public affairs. Our network is extensive, and our trainers are not only advisers at Van Oort Public Affairs, but also key figures from academia, civil society, politics and public administration. Our passion lies in empowering public affairs professionals: strengthening advocacy and enabling more effective policy influence that contributes to a stronger democracy.

In a strong democracy, interests are heard and carefully considered, debate is based on facts, and there is room for well-founded decision-making. We believe that effective advocacy and policy influence strengthen our democracy. We aim to contribute to this by making our knowledge, expertise and strategic advisory skills accessible to advocates, enabling them to make their voices heard more effectively and achieve greater impact in their societal mission.

The Public Affairs Academie is characterised by a broad range of targeted training programmes with a strong practical focus. From effective stakeholder management to dealing with crises and unexpected challenges. From the power of language to lobbying at local, regional, national or even European level. We also address topics such as AI literacy and lobbying in the context of a minority government. Everything that happens and evolves within the public domain is a source of knowledge and inspiration for us, which we transform into engaging and valuable learning experiences.
