Bente van Oort

Bente van Oort is a senior public affairs adviser at Van Oort Public Affairs, with broad experience in strengthening the position of civil society organisations within the political landscape in The Hague.

Bente supports, advises and trains civil society organisations to make their voices heard in Dutch politics. She previously gained experience at organisations including the Ministry of Health, Welfare and Sport, ZonMw and FNO, working on crisis response, policy advice, evaluating public affairs strategies and strengthening youth participation. As a trainer, she combines content expertise with practical exercises, helping participants operate with greater clarity and confidence in the political and stakeholder landscape.

In her training programmes for the Public Affairs Academie, including the Public Affairs Masterclass, Navigating the National Budget and Understanding the Spring Memorandum, she helps professionals operate with greater focus, confidence and strategic insight in a dynamic political environment.
